Another new movie in the Star Wars movie series has just been announced by Disney, this time it will be a TV series called Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi.

As revealed by Disney, they are producing a TV series set in the Star Wars Universe. After a long wait, Disney recently confirmed the official name of the new Star Wars movie is Tales of the Jedi. The announcement was made right during the Star Wars Celebration 2022 event. The new TV series will have six episodes and include characters from across the previous Star Wars seasons, a few typical characters like Qui- Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson returns to voice the character), and Count Dooku as a Jedi, Mace Windu, Anakin Skywalker, and even Ahsoka. The film is scheduled to premiere later this year on Disney+.

“When I flew back and forth to make The Mandalorian, I had a new idea in mind and kept perfecting it throughout the flight. And finally we have a whole new story in the world of Star Wars,” said Dave Filoni at the panel. “I wanted to dig deeper into some of the characters… and based on the ideas I had while making The Clone Wars, I’m going to help audiences get a better look at those characters.” This series will consist of short films with three of them specifically focusing on the character Ahsoka. Other seasons will include episodes set in the Jedi Temple, and Anakin and Ahsoka’s reunion.
